Poschner’s Passion
What, if anything, do music and medical research have in common?
Together with Dr Frank Petersen from the biomedical sciences, Markus Poschner explores this question in the unique setting of the Novartis Pavillon, a hub for life sciences and dialogue.
One thing is certain: the two disciplines share more than meticulousness, a spirit of experimentation, and a willingness to push boundaries. In both fields, new and often remarkable discoveries emerge through trial and error, exploration and learning. The discussion may also touch on where perseverance matters most, where interpretation plays a greater role, what part inspiration plays, how dreams can become driving forces, and why passion can be contagious. It may explore how local discoveries can reveal universal principles, and what perhaps remains forever out of reach.
Only those who attend this interdisciplinary dialogue will experience the sparks that arise between music and medicine, between the speakers, and between their own perspectives and new ways of thinking.
This event will be held in German.
